Throughout spring 2026, Works & Process presents a full set of dynamic programs at the Guggenheim in New York, along with a special performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice on May 8, coinciding with the opening of the Venice Biennale.
The season begins with the fourth Works & Process Underground Uptown Dance Festival at the Guggenheim in New York, which will present six Works & Process commissions from 9 to 13 January as part of JanArtsNYC. In addition to New York City, Works & Process will also present Dance Out East on Long Island from 9 to 11 January in collaboration with The Church in Sag Harbor, Guild Hall in East Hampton, and the Watermill Centre. All projects presented at both festivals are supported by fully funded Works & Process residencies that promote the artists and their creative process.
At the Guggenheim's Peter B. Lewis Theatre, programmes that shed light on the creative process by combining discussion with artists and performance will include Opera Philadelphia, Signature Theatre, American Ballet Theatre, CATS: The Jellicle Ball, Miami City Ballet, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Martha Graham Dance Company, Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia Ballet, Terrence McNally Recovery Commissions with Craig Lucas and Jake Brasch, a new work by Martha Graham dancer Xin Ying, and a preview of Jacob's Pillow's 2026 summer season.
