POBSESSION FUTURE TIME // The Artistic Philosophy of DONATIEN

The artistic practice of Donatien — spanning from phygital canvas to avant-garde live performance — acts as a radical rebellion against the ultimate constraint of human existence: time itself. Through the conceptual manifesto Pobsession Future Time, the artist explores the obsession and possession of the "time demon," the invisible force that constantly weighs upon and erodes human life.

Liberation from this linear cage is achieved through a chronological paradox. Upon the digital canvas and the physical bodies used during his performances, Donatien explicitly paints dynamic future dates (such as his milestone birthday in the year 2045). By projecting the creative act into a distant future where the author will no longer exist, the artist completely neutralizes the pressure of the present. This gives rise to a relative timeline: a future that cannot restrict us, a suspended present, and a past that is entirely erased, only fulfillment the single day after the painted date. By surrendering to the "demon of Art," Donatien expands creation beyond biological limits, turning mortal anxiety into an eternal, untouchable asset.
